    Artist: Matt Long

    Matt Long is a sand sculpture artist who custom designs different sculptures to see the needs of his clients. He creates fascinating, one of a kind displays using nothing but sand and water. He was the cast member from the two season run of the TV show Sand Masters, which was originally featured on the Travel Channel. He also has four World Championship medals from international competitions.

    Clay Castle Comments






    Comparing Animal Eye and Clay Castle.
    These projects are pretty similar. Due to you have to take a long time getting the colors right. And, you have to mix/layer the colors to get them right. Also, in both of these projects, you have to take a long time, to map it and out sculpting/drawing it. These two projects are different because for the animal eye you are working with oil pastels, while for the clay house, you are working with clay. What elements are used in both projects are color and texture. Because to have to add texture and color to both of them to look good.
    Guy I.
    This was my least favorite project because of how difficult it was to keep your building standing up straight and in the right position when you tried to stick on the clay. I didn't like how long the project took. Because of how hard it was to keep it standing up straight if the wall fell in you'd have to start all over again applying the clay. I would change the material we used and how much time we had to do it.
    Comparing Painting and oil pastel project
    These are the same because of the shape they are. The foundation of the projects is the same as well, they as both papers. In my projects, some of the colors are the same. In my painting, the sky is kinda orange-pink. In my animal eye project, the pig is pink and peach.
    Clay Castle
    Because it was hard to construct and it kept falling and it just wasn't my favorite, I would change it by having a more sturdy base of clay.
    Clay house
    I didn't mean to post my other comment because I wasn't done with it. this was my favorite project though. it helped me work better with clay and it was an overall fun project to do. painting the house was the most fun part about it. Getting the clay to stick to the house was the worse part, but everything was pretty easy after that. this project is great for the imagination I just wish there were bigger areas to work in as well as more clay.
